January 4 2012

Puerto Vallarta is a great place for bird watching as the area offers over 350 species of tropical jungle birds and birds of the sea. Some Puerto Vallarta bird watching tours are done on foot, while others are from a motorized vehicle. For bird enthusiasts, it is entirely possible to do all of the tours described below and see new and different birds each time.

EcoTours de Mexico offers a “Birds of Tropical Paradise” tour for $80 USD. You''ll get an expert bilingual birding guide, small groups, a field guide, and binoculars. The tour includes air-conditioned transportation, a bottle of water and continental breakfast, and snacks at Nogalito Restaurant. The tour goes to Los Arcos, Mismaloya, and Nogalito and is offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The tour provides free pick-ups and drop-offs from Nuevo Vallarta, downtown, and the Marina.
