Brazilian market closer to Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta leads a promotion exhibit in a series of Road Shows taking place in four strategic Brazilian cities. Rolando Miravete, Director of the Puerto Vallarta Board of Tourism is joined by hoteliers and executives of fellow Riviera Nayarit as part of the joint Vallarta-Nayarit international campaign. Coverage begins in the city or Porto Alegre and concludes in Rio de Janeiro, with previous visits to Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte.
The purpose of these promotional caravans is to expand the presence of Vallarta-Nayarit to the Brazilian market, as the Puerto Vallarta airport has long been working on a direct air connectivity program in an effort to fly Brazilian visitors to Puerto Vallarta.
The road show is comprised of Directors and 11 hotels in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, who will meet with five tour operators to promote the hotel packages that are being worked up for that area; crucial to the success of this promotion effort, in large part due to concrete negotiations with airlines and the South American market ́s tour operators.
Likewise, direct contact with local press such as news publications, television, radio and digital media is being made along the way. Protocol visits to distinct authorities and business organizations of each city visited during this caravan are also on the agenda.
This is a direct result of joint efforts within the Vallarta-Nayarit strategies, in this case seeking new and alternate markets, without leaving aside the important promotional work being made with our U.S. and Canadian markets, same which has widely been reported to have closed the first half of the year with great results. Thus now the best figures in occupancy are being sought for the 2014 Fall season and 2015 Winter season.
