ALS Golf Tournament
The ALS Golf Tournament is more than a golf tournament. It is an event to benefit amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients and especially the well-known Captain ALEJANDRA LEMUS.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (abbreviated ALS) is also known as "Lou Gehrig’s Disease" and is caused when cells from the nervous system called motorneurons gradually decrease their performance and die, causing progressive muscle paralysis leading to a prognosis of death. In its advanced stages patients suffer paralysis that is accompanied by an exaltation of tendon reflexes, as a result of the loss of inhibitory muscle controls.
The ALS Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, May 24, at the Flamingos Golf Club.
There will be raffles, auctions, surprises and great prizes for the participants.
