We are fully convinced that this is a much needed and quality project that will improve the quality of life in the city, the mayor was reported as saying.

He admitted parts of the project had had to be redone but stressed that the was at no expense to the city, citing the high summer temperature as the culprit, not the quality fo the work.

He stressed that the project has been modified along the way, but not in structure, "everyone is looking forward to its completion",  Vallarta can rest assured that "the quality of the work is excellent and something to be proud of." 

He added that subsequent administrations have to focus only on maintaining the projects high standards and noted that if it detects an error in it, it has a guarantee from the construction company so that appropriate arrangements can be made if necessary. Finally the mayor said the work is being carried out at a good pace and within the projected time.

Hundreds of locals and tourists were able to enjoy the new promenade during the bank holiday weekend while it was still under construction, allowing large numbers of people to gather there during thenational celebrations with their friends and families.

The enhanced public space has been well received by visitors, who gave the project positive reviews, it has also left a good impression amongst national visitors who have recently visited the destination.
