Starting early on Saturday in Vallarta thousands of families and tourists arrived downtown to see the arrival of Lent celebrated by a Mardi Gras parade and floats.
The parade was a spectacular sight as it traveled all along the waterfront and through the streets of Old Town and Olas Altas with a large number of floats colorful floats adding to the party atmosphere of the night. Participants in the parade included restaurants, clothing stores, bars and non-profit associations which conveyed the important message of each association to the public.
The real estate firm PVRPV impressively organized the nonprofit that organized the event which was appreciated by thousands of locals and tourists who laughed, danced and even sang with the participants of the parade.
This was the first time that a Mardi Gras celebration has been held in the main streets of Puerto Vallarta city and it is expected that each year more Vallarta businesses and families will join the party, which is famous in many cities worldwide and is a major tourists event in countries like Brazil and in Mexican cities like Veracruz and Mazatlan.
