The VII Annual Vallarta Surfcasting Shore Fishing Tournament will be held on Puerto Vallarta's Malecon Beach.
The catch and release competition will begin at 6:00am and end around 1:00pm. In this edition, the fishing area will be from the beginning of the Malecon all the way to the Los Muertos Beach.
The first place winner will receive a prize of 70,000 MXN, the second place winner 20,000 MXN and the third place winner will receive 10,000 MXN. This year, the Vallarta Surfcasting Shore Fishing Tournament will raffle off a fishing boat trip among the participants. Guests will include YouTubers Jorge Acosta, Josema Nieblas and Snook Mafia.
Organizers Sergio Gutiérrez Peña and William Casillas Rodríguez announced that there will be no fish category this year. However, fishing for manta rays or any other endangered species is prohibited.
