Puerto Vallarta reaffirmed its position as the preferred beach tourism destination for LGBTQ+ people in Mexico and around the world, winning four awards at the 2023 LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico, including Beach Destination of the Year.
Organized by National Network of LGBT Tourism Entrepreneurs (UNET), the LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico recognize the best in tourism for gender-diverse travelers.
Puerto Vallarta was selected among 120 nominees from 26 cities in Mexico during the ceremony held Wednesday, November 8, in Morelia, the capital of the state of Michoacán.
The four 2023 LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico that Puerto Vallarta received are:
Puerto Vallarta loves its LGBTQ+ visitors. And LGBTQ+ visitors love Puerto Vallarta. “The Friendliest City in the World” is Latin America's only destination with its own Gayborhood, located in the Romantic Zone. Puerto Vallarta once again confirms the work that has been done on behalf of the community by being one of the friendliest, safest and most inclusive cities for the LGBTQ+ population, which has consolidated the destination as their favorite, he stated.
