Puerto Vallarta wins 5 Travvy Awards, including Best Destination in Mexico

Puerto Vallarta is celebrating wins in five categories for its nominations in the 2023 Travvy Awards.  The Travvy Awards are the travel industry's equivalent of the Oscars and are an international recognition of excellence in tourism.

Puerto Vallarta was awarded bronze statuettes in the following categories:

Best Destination - Mexico

With its pristine beaches, vibrant culture and breathtaking natural beauty, Puerto Vallarta has been awarded as the Best Destination in Mexico.  This recognition is a testament to the city's diverse attractions, including its charming historic center, thriving culture and arts scene, and adventurous outdoor activities.

Best Honeymoon Destination - Mexico

Puerto Vallarta is the perfect destination for honeymooners, with romantic sunsets, luxurious resorts and a tranquil atmosphere.  The 2023 Travvy Award as one of the Best Honeymoon Destinations in Mexico is a reflection of the city's ability to create magical moments and provide couples with an unforgettable start to their lifelong journey together.

Best Culinary Destination - Mexico

Best Wedding Destination - Mexico

Best Tourism Board - Mexico

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board is instrumental in promoting the attractions of the city and providing exceptional visitor experiences.  The Board's efforts in showcasing Puerto Vallarta's unique offerings, organizing promotional events and fostering collaboration within the travel industry were recognized with the nomination for Best Tourism Board in Mexico.

AN AWARD WINNING DESTINATION

“It is a privilege to be able to represent Puerto Vallarta at these prestigious awards in the tourism industry,” said Mr. Luis Antonio Villaseñor Nolasco, General Manager of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board.

Mr. Villaseñor Nolasco said he was thrilled with the success of the destination, which won in most of the categories for which it was nominated, during the awards gala at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“This underscores the importance and relevance of the destination for international markets, thanks to the variety of natural landscapes, delicious cuisine and diverse options for celebrating special events that make the city a unique place,” said the General Manager of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board.

ABOUT THE TRAVVY AWARDS 

The Travvy Awards honor the most important destinations and travel suppliers, selected by their main users and connoisseurs: travel agents, such as hotels, car rentals, cruises, airlines, wholesalers, among others.

Puerto Vallarta continues to be a top choice for travelers, especially from the North American market, as one of the most important sun and beach destinations in Mexico.

The "Friendliest City in the World" was selected as one of the top 10 destinations for Thanksgiving travel by Allianz Partners, a travel insurance company.  Puerto Vallarta also ranked third in the number of tickets purchased for the holiday.

Puerto Vallarta has welcomed a total of 2 million 863 thousand 800 international passengers until September of this year.

This predicts excellent results for the last months of 2023, with a growth of 10.7% over the same period last year.
