Following the path of the hidden beaches on the southern part of Banderas Bay, find a place that has earned a visit by tourists looking for adventure and contact with nature.
Just 20 minutes away, taking a boat from Boca de Tomatlan, which in turn is 17 km south ofPuerto Vallarta, you will reach Quimixto, a small village of friendly fishermen where you will have an amazing day from the moment you land on this beach.
You can also go directly from Los Muertos Pier in downtown Puerto Vallarta, this journey will take about 45 minutes; no matter what route you choose, upon arrival you will be greeted by a delicious typical dish for you to enjoy along with the fantastic view to the sea.
After eating and recharge, you can’t miss the nice hike through the jungle to reach Quimixto’s most special place, it takes about 20 minutes if you go on foot, although you can also take a horseback ride until you hear the cool sound of water and see the famous waterfall; certainly a dip is the best remedy to cool off.
Lose yourself in the harmonious singing of the many birds that inhabit the place, well on the way to the waterfall it is likely to find some raccoons by the river or even a wandering deer depending on the season.
