There are many ways to enjoy Puerto Vallarta during the day, like spending the day at one of the beautiful beaches, a tour to the impressive Marieta Islands or Las Caletas, Zip Lining over the jungle or hanging out at the pool. What about at night, what is there to do?
Downtown offers a wide range of options. There are jazz and reggae bars as well as exclusive discos and nightclubs where you can dance until you drop.
Many of these places are located along the Malecon. Sr. Frogs , a great family place during the day, just celebrated its 16th birthday. At night it becomes a lively bar with great food and drinks. If dancing is your thing, you can feel like you're in Cuba at La Bodeguita del Medio , where there’s live Cuban style music. It’s great place to sip on a fresh Mojito and try some delicious “Moros y Cristianos” beans and rice.
The Jazz Foundation is an interesting combination of restaurant, bar and forum, where you will undoubtedly spend a splendid evening with a first class view of the Malecon, as you listen to the best in Jazz and experimental music. Bar Morelos , offers another interesting option. It is a combination nightclub-bar-mezcal tasting place, eclectically decorated, offering delicious “chupitos” of different flavors and live music. There are excellent specials every day. A favorite place for both locals and tourists.
Nightlife lovers will find that the Mandala nightclub is the perfect place for them, with its open spaces and Dj music, a perfect venue for partiers. The Zoo and La Vaquita nightclubs, other tourist favorites, are just a few steps away.
