PUERTO VALLARTA, RIVIERA NAYARIT XXI INTERNATIONAL GOURMET FESTIVAL
Mexico’s leading culinary destination, the Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit and Tepic area, is ready to once again host the prestigious International Gourmet Festival. By the numbers, from November 16th through the 22nd, 2015, this XXI edition boasts 3 great masters, 46 guest and local chefs, 22 restaurants and hotels, 7 theme nights, and hundreds of fortunate participants.
The Festival’s Committee, Chef Thierry Blouet - Chef Heinz Reize - Chef Roland Menetrey, “The Three Musketeers”, were inspired by working as a team,which led to the creation of a tradition to promote the great and innovative gastronomy in this extraordinary world resort area. This has facilitated a friendly and creative exchange between grand masters of the art of cooking and young talents from all over the world.
In the words of founder Chef Thierry Blouet, “The International Gourmet Festival is an event that has continued to grow each year, and every year, more and more international chefs want to participate. This year’s guest chefs have between 14 and 17 Gault Millau points and have worked at restaurants with at least three Michelin stars.”
Food lovers will have the unique opportunity to dive into a variety of different settings, including the Progressive Avant-garde Dinner, visiting four restaurants in a row. Theme nights each night, such as “New American Cuisine” by Chef Daniel Eardley at Kaiser Maximilian, and “Dinner as a Hommage to my Great Masters” at Trio Restaurant. Also a wine pairing and luncheon workshop hosted by eight hands-four chefs, Tequila Patron Cheese and Calypso celebration at the Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort, the “Ole Paella Jamon Jabugo Cinco Jotas” and Mexican and Spanish wines at Villa Premiere Hotel, and “Delicacies by the Sea” at the Sapphire Beach Club.
“El Santuario” at Vidanta, Nuevo Vallarta, one of the most extraordinary beach resort in the Pacific, will host “Gourmet Village”, a gathering of all the chefs, hosts and personalities of the gourmet scene celebrating this XXI edition with a magical event.
