PUERTO VALLARTA TO HOST THE 1ST INTERNATIONAL CELTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL

Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, and in celebration of that spirit Puerto Vallarta will host the First International Celtic Music Festival of Mexico from March 20 to the 22, 2014.

With support from the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, the State of Jalisco, the city of Puerto Vallarta, as well as the Irish and UK Embassies, this unique event will gather Celtic musicians, traditional artists and Celtic crafts and art vendors for 3 days of Celtic Music of the highest caliber in sunny Puerto Vallarta.

FIMC 2014’s program starts with an inaugural parade through the Malecon, Puerto Vallarta’s boardwalk, with Pipe Bands on Thursday, March 20,

free open air concerts and classes, a traditional Scottish Ceilidh and the Drumming for Drinks competition.

Intenational performers such as the British/French/Swedish ensemble, Follow the Rats, Scotland’s Tenor, Jamie MacDougall, Pipers, Bruce Gandy and Rory Grossart and Red Hot Chilli Pipers, winners of the Scottish Live Act of the Year will be taking part in the celebration along with Puerto Vallarta’s Orchestra.
