The bloggers participated in a general agenda designed to show that the destination's beaches, hotels, meeting spaces and downtown are all active and welcoming to visitors.
The bloggers were hosted by the Casa Velas Hotel and visited Las Caletas, the Rio Cuale crafts market, participated in the sea turtle release program at Marriott CasaMagna Vallarta Adventure's Outdoor Adventure and tasted the many flavors of Puerto Vallarta by dinning at Cafe des Artistes, El Arrayan and the Emiliano Gourmet Cuisine Restaurant. They also experienced the luxury of Casa Velas' Ocean Beach Club and the Marriott CasaMagana Ohtli Spa.
This week the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board also partnered with blogger personality @SassyModernMom in a Twitter party targeting family travel bloggers and consumers. The event made the hashtag #VisitPV the number 2 trending topic in Canada for almost 2 hours and number 9 in Vancouver for the same amount of time. Over 300 contributors participated in the party with 30 million impressions.
