Reader’s Choice Awards 2025: Puerto Vallarta is Mexico’s Favorite And the Second-Best Small City in the World

Puerto Vallarta was named one of the "Best Small Cities in the World" in the 2025 Reader's Choice Awards, a worldwide survey of travelers and readers of the highly respected Condé Nast Traveler magazine.

The 38th edition of Condé Nast Traveler's reader poll saw more than 750,000 travelers and readers casting their votes online for their favorite experiences. These experiences included airlines, airports, cruises, spas, hotels and resorts, destinations, countries, beaches, islands, and cities, among others.

Puerto Vallarta was ranked as the top favorite city in Mexico and second in the top 10 of "The World's Best Small Cities," just behind Victoria, Canada. Other nominated cities included Florence, Italy; Lucerne, Switzerland; Galway, Ireland; San Sebastián and Palma de Mallorca in Spain; and Hobart in Australia.
