THE MICE SEGMENT GROWS IN PUERTO VALLARTA

In 2014 the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board continues to encourage Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events (MICE) with a proactive campaign, including a strategic alliance with Mexico´s Counsel on Tourism Promotion (CPTM). Together they are participating in both this event and the upcoming AIBTM, IMEX and MPI Fairs.

"Conferences and incentives are experiencing a strong period of growth," says Rolando Mirabete, Director of the Tourism Board of Puerto Vallarta.

Vallarta has the three main features needed to turn the city into a destination which is "competitive in business tourism, conferences and conventions," namely, aerial and land connectivity, its almost 22 thousand hotel rooms, and an International Convention Center.

Within the infrastructure it has, in addition to the variety of tours, activities and places to visit in the surrounding areas, there are excellent hotels and restaurants which offer every type of food. Some of these have received international awards. Puerto Vallarta has executive professionals to provide services to large, medium or small groups. As an example, through travel packages you can hire tours for large groups, hotels with first-class spa service, organize retreats and tours for golf lovers, classes, conventions, weddings, etc.

As for entertainment, Puerto Vallarta offers it 24 hours a day in its quaint downtown full of traditions and culture. There are many art galleries, musicians and artisans in the streets. The friendly and hospitable people are always willing to help visitors. In the center of Vallarta you will find galleries, cafes, bars, restaurants and first-class entertainment centers.
