THE XIX INTERNATIONAL GOURMET FESTIVAL STARTS NOVEMBER 14TH

A press conference concerning the XIX International Gourmet Festival Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit and Tepic was held on October 31, at the facilities of the Centro de Calidad in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, in the presence of the “Three Musketeer” creators of the festival: the Chefs Thierry Blouet, Roland Menetrey and Heinz Reize.

The Gourmet Festival has established itself as one of the best culinary events at the international level in the host cities of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, with Tepic recently joining, thus spreading the event throughout the region.

This year the nineteenth Gourmet Festival will be held from November 14-23, where more than 30 renowned chefs from Switzerland, USA, Italy, France, Germany and of course Mexico, will participate in sharing their culinary secrets with gourmet enthusiasts.

During the past 18 years it has attracted more than 350,000 visitors, who have been taken care of by a total of 450 prestigious chefs from four continents, presenting the most exquisite gastronomy in the best and most beautiful hotels and restaurants.

"The mission is to bring together talent for the evolution of good gastronomy and to share knowledge of good cooking, which is the key to avoiding stagnation, thus benefitting everyone, always looking for innovation in techniques and flavors," shared the Chef Heinz Reise.

Meanwhile, the chef Thierry Blouet thanked the 27 restaurants and 30 participating chefs, and described as “excellent” the support they have received from the Conventions and Visitors Bureau of Riviera Nayarit (OVC). He said that this event is a celebration of cuisine, gastronomy, quality products, friendship between chefs, restaurants, hotels and all lovers of good food and good living.

The opening will be in Puerto Vallarta on November 14, at the Fiesta Americana Hotel, and the closing in Punta Mita on the 23rd.

A cocktail with some of the sponsors of the event was offered after the press conference, where those in the media enjoyed delicious canapés and cocktails, along with the knowledge of some of what will be happening during the festival.
