Starting in Zapopan and ending in Puerto Vallarta, the route crosses forests, rivers, canyons and Pueblos Mágicos. The first 25 editions of the traditional Vallartazo will be celebrated in 2023. Throughout its history, off-roaders from Mexico and the United States have successfully participated.
Twelve municipalities in the state of Jalisco are included in the Vallartazo route: Zapopan, El Arenal, Amatitán, Tequila, San Juanito de Escobedo, Etzatlán, Ameca, Guachinango, Mixtlán, Atenguillo, Talpa de Allende and Puerto Vallarta.
