We’re pleased to have in Puerto Vallarta the 2017 World Sailing Annual Conference, a world category event in which high performance sportsmen and women will be reunited.
The conference will be happening from November 4 through 12 and more than 500 delegates, between organizers International Class Associations, Member National Authorities, sailors, boat manufacturers and committee members will be in our beautiful city to revise this sport’s strategy as well as discuss changes and make impactful decisions for the professional and amateur sailors.
The overarching theme of the 2017 Annual Conference is 'Uniting Our Sport'. Sailing's stakeholders will be working together to seek ways to grow and develop the sport, and help millions more people fall in love with sailing and what a better place to do so than Puerto Vallarta, a world class destination to practice sailing, kayak, kite surfing, amongst other sports.
We also had in Patio Los Arcos the 2017 World Sailing Awards, which congratulated the Beppe Croce Trophy and President's Development Award recievers, but the biggest winners of the event were Marit Bouwmeester and Peter Burling, who won the Rolex World Salior of the Year in the female and male categories respectively.
Since 10 years ago, this Conference has been celebrated and after hitting cities such as Mallorca in Spain, it’s no wonder they decided to held it this year in Puerto Vallarta since the destination has the perfect weather to practice water sports as well as concentrating many of the Mexican Sailors.
