EL EDEN IN PUERTO VALLARTA WAS MADE A FAMOUS SIGHT THANKS TO THE FILMING OF THE MOVIE "PREDATOR" WITH ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER.

Although very few, there are still pristine rivers in Jalisco. One of them isEl Eden in Puerto Vallarta, which was made a famous sight thanks to the filming of the movie “Predator” with Arnold Schwarzenegger back in 1987.

To reach El Eden from Vallarta, take the road to Barra de Navidad up to Mismaloya Beach, where you will turn left instead of turning right to the beach. It is a short drive on a partly paved, partly gravel road, giving you the chance of admiring the natural beauty of our tourist destination. Any car, but a sports one, can access this road.

In this area, the river travels over huge rocks that have been worn to the point of creating natural waterslides, where one of the most loved activities in El Eden is to swim in its refreshing waters. A short, slow ride down the molded stone slide ends with a sharp gasp, a natural reflex when falling into a small pool of very cold clear water.

El Eden is an ideal place to experience nature from close proximity and a beautiful spot to spend some time walking around with your family. As its name implies, it is a small oasis in the middle of the jungle, and let´s keep it like that, don´t leave your garbage behind.
