For the First Time Ever, Down Puerto Vallarta Comes to Town

Recently the announcement was made of a "Downhill" biking event downtown Puerto Vallarta, to take place on April 29 and 30. It is the first edition of Down Puerto Vallarta, a series of competitions in Downhill, Slope style and Freestyle modes. They will fill with excitement the narrow winding streets in the center of town. This is the first time ever an event of such magnitude comes to town, and everybody is talking about it!

This event is presented by the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, and it will bring to Puerto Vallarta 40 of the top internationally renowned off-road biking specialists. Due to the physical demands of these types of competitions, this event will be by invitation only.

Organizers have charted the competition track along the streets of downtown Vallarta. The start line is up at the Cerro de La Cruz, and the track goes down all the way to the finish line on the Malecon. It’s going to be awesome! In some parts, the sidewalks there are very high and in some other parts, there are no sidewalks, but instead, the street is bordered by a wall. Here, great acrobatics and spectacular jumps can be seen!

This downhill event will be offered free for all to give everyone a great opportunity to enjoy it as family, a novelty event full of excitement provided by the feats these outstanding athletes perform on their bikes.
