LA LUNA RESTAURANT IN PUERTO VALLARTA.

Puerto Vallarta''s newest “can''t miss” restaurant just opened on October 27, 2011. La Luna is a new restaurant, bar, deli, and cooking school at Carranza 466 in Old Town Puerto Vallarta.

La Luna is not only a delicious restaurant to try while you are in Puerto Vallarta, but the space includes a gorgeous fountain, a large courtyard, and a spacious open kitchen. The menu features gourmet, fresh, and expertly-prepared sandwiches, salads, soups, and tacos--even by Puerto Vallarta standards.

La Luna''s Chef Miriam Flores obviously cares about getting every last detail right. Her eyes light up as she describes the freshness of the goat cheese or imported lunch meats that she serves. All of the breads she offers are baked fresh. One gets the impression that only the best will do at this new Puerto Vallarta landmark. When you stop in, you might try the sweet potato fries, Caprese Mexicano sandwich, Pasta, Pesto, Peas, Sun-Dried Tomato and Olive salad (yes, that is the dish''s name), or her out-of-this-world Lemon Tart.

On Saturday night, you can catch live music at La Luna. Thursday is Movie Night with a special menu. On Tuesday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, you can learn some of the restaurant''s secrets in one of Chef Flores'' cooking classes at La Luna. Themes include international sauces, authentic Mexican, and seafood, for example. La Luna is also available to host special events, like the recent Young Professionals Association''s Halloween Party.

La Luna is two blocks west of another popular Puerto Vallarta restaurant, El Brujo, before the tunnel on Calle Venustiano Carranza. Definitely add La Luna to your to do in Vallarta list while you''re enjoying your vacation in our beach destination.
