Reader's Choice Awards 2023: Puerto Vallarta named one of "The Best Small Cities in the World"

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico has been named one of the “Best Small Cities in the World” in the Readers' Choice Awards 2023.  The global survey, which includes participants from the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler guide, recognized Puerto Vallarta for its outstanding qualities and attractions.

The "Friendliest City in the World” is distinguished by its outstanding architecture, stunning beaches, diverse cuisine, lively atmosphere and timeless charm.  Visitors can indulge in a variety of activities and choose from a wide range of accommodations.  These elements position Puerto Vallarta as one of the best tourist destinations in Mexico and the world.

The Readers' Choice Awards, which annually recognize the best places in the world in 18 different categories, are among the most prestigious international awards in the travel industry.

Now in its 36th annual edition, more than half a million travelers and Condé Nast Traveler readers voted online for their favorite experiences in categories including airlines, airports, cruises, spas, hotels and resorts, destinations, countries, beaches, islands and cities.

Puerto Vallarta was ranked fourth in the top 10 “Best Small Cities in the World.”  Other nominees included San Juan, Puerto Rico; Porto, Portugal; Bruges, Belgium; and Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The “Friendliest City in the World” has been nominated for several major global awards in 2023, including: "Best Destination, Mexico” and “Beach Destination of the Year” in their respective categories at the 2023 Travvy Awards and the 2023 LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico, making Puerto Vallarta a must-visit destination.
