YOU CAN CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING DAY IN PUERTO VALLARTA

Thanksgiving Day represents one of the most important celebrations in the U.S. and Canada.

In the United States, Thanksgivig Day takes place on the fourth Thursday of November, while in Canada it is on the second Monday of October.

Thanksgiving Day represents a great family celebration, when relatives and closest friends gather together to share dinner and pray to express their gratitude.

Typically, most American homes will have turkey served with a special stuffing made of cornbread and fresh sage leaves. It is usually served with a slide of cranberry sauce or different vegetables such as green beans, sweet potato and smashed potatoes. For dessert, pumpkin pie is the most popular one, right along with pecan and apple cakes.

After Thanksgiving dinner, the most traditional activity is watching American football on television. Most establishments and offices are closed for the day. The following Friday they celebrate the traditional season opening for Christmas shopping. This is well known as Black Friday. Warehouses and Department Stores offer discount prices and a lot of people gather at shopping centers.

Thanksgiving right along with Independence Day, is considered by many as their favorite holiday in the United States, mostly because it represents a chance for the entire family to gather around the dining table.

Every year, there is an extraordinary parade through the streets of Manhattan, New York, attracting millions of people to Broadway Avenue and watch the giant balloons and the performances of different guest artists.

In Puerto Vallarta, there are a number of restaurants that will definitely celebrate this family celebration with you.
