A collegiate softball tournament featuring a selection of the best teams in the United States. The Puerto Vallarta College Challenge features programs from prominent Power 5 conferences as well as the deep pool of strong mid-major schools.
The Puerto Vallarta College Challenge began in 2015 and has evolved into one of the premier tournaments designed to launch the softball season. It was the first D-I softball event to be held outside of the United States.
The tenth annual edition of the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge will unfold over from Wednesday, February 11 to Saturday, February 14. Southern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, UTSA and Long Beach State will square off in a round-robin style slate that features ten games over four days, giving each program multiple early-season tests against quality opposition in an international setting.
All games will be played at the Nancy Almaraz Softball Field located at the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Complex ("El Estadio."). The sports facilities are located across the boulevard from the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center.
All games will be broadcast on Triple Crown Sports Network.
