Think of your greatest dream… The one you’ve had for years, even since you were a child. Got it? What should happen to reach it? There are dreams are beyond the possibilities, almost unattainable.
Here’s the story of Mr. Salvador García, a shoe shine from Mexico City that have worked for more than 40 years. His day-to-day is simple: waking up very early and then spending most of his day at one of the business area of the city, shining shoes. But this a very small world, where everything suddenly can happen.
One day, Mr. Salvador was shining the shoes of a client. They were talking about dreams and then he confessed: “I would love to know the sea… the sea of Puerto Vallarta, before I die”. That client was really moved by this and decided to share this story on Facebook.
The anecdote spread. More and more eyes read and shared, making the story go from Mexico City to other parts and of course to Puerto Vallarta! Everyone was convinced to make this happen, to make the dream come true like a mission, raising all the money for the travel, bookings, meals and tours.
Mr. Salvador was told about this, he couldn’t believe! Well, it’s not very usual to know that some people has made your dream come true and you’re going to Puerto Vallarta for the very first time, right? After some days, he finally realized that the dream was waiting for him!
And then it happened: Mr. Salvador travelled to Puerto Vallarta for the first time —also it was his first time on a plane— and he lived that unparalleled experience when he saw the world from the window. When he arrived, the atmosphere of our beach town said “Welcome!” as every time we wait everybody with open arms.
Among the plans they enjoyed, there was a tour to Yelapa and Majahuitas, two paradises south Puerto Vallarta; they also visited the Botanical Gardens and had a walk through orchids; “Rhythms of the Night” surprised them with its fireworks and acrobats at Caletas beach; they had a getaway to San Sebastián del Oeste town and went to Downtown for visiting the famous Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
Every place in Puerto Vallarta showed them its charm! Each moment was full of colors and flavors, so Mr. Salvador couldn’t believe what he was seeing. His heart knew that was an unique moment in his life, something to remember forever!
Mr. Salvador lived this experience thanks to all the people who supported this mission. Tour agencies, hotels and many Puerto Vallarta people made them feel like home.
Dreams can come true… And Puerto Vallarta is the best place to make it happen!
