Puerto Vallarta welcomes the first International Sculptors Forum

On November 25 the first edition of the International Sculptors Forum of Puerto Vallarta ended. 11 international artists worked for 15 days to create 11 different monumental pieces on stainless steel. 

Organized by the Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta) of the Universidad de Guadalajara, this event wanted to transmit the artististical values of  monumental art to all of the society. Puerto Vallarta is one of the Mexican destionations where you can enjoy urban art and events like this help the art offering of the city to get bigger and better, specially since some of the works will be donated to enrich this heritage.

The Peruvian sculptor Aldo Shiroma Uza directed the group of artists, of which Jerome Symons (Ductch artits whose work can be found in China, Korea, Libane, Brazil, Turkey), as well as Yang Polin, a Tawanese artits who's work always shines in different international art fairs.

During 15 days, these and other artits worked with students of CUCosta to bring to life a different sculpture each, which will be shown in this University until February next year. After that, six of the sculptures will be shown in dfiferent parts of Puerto Vallarta to better the artistical and cultural value of our city.

This kind of actions show Puerto Vallarta's strong conviction to enrich its historical heritage and to position the destiny as one of the most artistical of Mexico. Find them in the different parts of Puerto Vallarta and enjoy the urban art of the city.
