Puerto Vallarta's Ballet Atemoztli is celebrating 57 years of tradition, culture and history with a gala performance on Sunday, August 25 at 4:00 pm at Teatro Vallarta.
The group, founded in 1967, will celebrate its 57th anniversary with a gala performance that will include regional dances from the Mexican states of Guerrero, Veracruz and Jalisco, with the special participation of the Huichol Folkloric Ballet, from Durango, under the direction of maestro Armando Vazquez Hinojosa.
Ballet Atemoztli will also posthumously honor its founder, Ernesto Navarro Lozano, who dedicated his life to the international promotion of Mexican folklore, as part of the gala.
The gala performance of the Ballet Atemoztli is free of charge with a ticket. Tickets will be available at the Municipal Tourism Office for those who wish to attend. The seating capacity is limited to 900 people.
