Vallarta Pride 2024, the most exciting Pride celebration in Mexico, is just around the corner. Puerto Vallarta welcomes you with open arms to celebrate love, equality and diversity in the most colorful way possible.
The eleventh annual edition of Vallarta Pride, to be held the week of May 22-26, 2024, presents Sun & the Beach as its theme, where the heart of pride beats to the rhythm of the waves and the energy of the sun.
Prepare yourself for an entire week of love, joy and LGBTQ+ Pride on the beautiful beaches of Puerto Vallarta, with a wide variety of sports, cultural and entertainment events, including the Pride Parade.
Puerto Vallarta is the leading beach destination for the LGBTQ+ community in all of Latin America. An estimated 22,000 people, mostly from Mexico, the United States and Canada, are expected to attend during the week of Vallarta Pride 2024.
Vallarta Pride 2024 will also attract groups of visitors from England, Spain, Finland and the Czech Republic. This confirms the friendly, inclusive and multicultural vocation of a unique city like Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta loves its LGBTQ+ visitors. And LGBTQ+ visitors love Puerto Vallarta. The "Friendliest City in the World" is the only tourist destination in Latin America to have its own gay district, located in the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta.
During the eleventh edition of Vallarta Pride, to be held the week of May 22-26, 2024, Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone will be the epicenter of LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations.
In addition to the famous Los Muertos Beach, the "Gay Beach of Mexico", the Puerto Vallarta Gay District includes more than 70 gay-owned or gay-friendly establishments, including: hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, theaters, cabarets, art galleries, bars, boutiques, hair salons, spas, saunas, coffee shops, and more.
Many of Vallarta Pride 2024's special events will be held in these establishments. All of them have staff trained in LGBTQ+ visitor services, as well as best practices for discrimination prevention and quality service in a safe and inclusive environment for all people.
Puerto Vallarta is an award-winning destination with international recognition. It was named Beach Destination of the Year in the LGBTQ+ Travel Awards Mexico 2023 and the Gay Travel Awards.
Puerto Vallarta has also been included in prestigious rankings like Pride Trending Destinations Year after Year, Condé Nast Traveler's World's Best Small Cities, and the only destination in Latin America to be included in the top 15 of Airbnb's Best LGBTQ+ Destinations.
Vallarta Pride 2024's official program of activities includes some of the LGBTQ+ community's favorite events, such as the Pride Parade and its colorful caravan of allegorical floats traveling the streets of Puerto Vallarta's El Malecon and Romantic Zone.
There are also some novelties and special surprises related to this year's theme in the official program of Vallarta Pride 2024: Sun & Beach.
Here are just a few of the highlights of Vallarta Pride 2024:
A unique experience of elegance and solidarity in support of the local LGBTQ+ community at Almar Resort Luxury LGBT Beachfront Experience in Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone. For the third year in a row, the “Vallarta Pride Vanguard Award” will be presented during the Pink Party. Mexican activist and human rights defender Kenia Cuevas will be honored for her contributions as the founder of the NGOs Casa de las Muñecas Tiresias and Casa Hogar Paola Buenrostro, the first shelter for transgender women in Mexico.
Vallarta Pride 2024 gets dressed up with a Beach Party that promises to be the highlight of a spectacular week celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride in Puerto Vallarta. The Beach Party promises fun, extravagance and exciting DJ sets at Daiquiri Dick's Beach Club in the heart of the Romantic Zone. A fashion show by Mexican fashion house T O R O Underwear will add a dose of style to the evening, while a special performance by Jass Reyes, lead singer of Mexican electro-pop act Playa Limbo, will take the experience to new levels.
The colors of the rainbow will take over the streets of Puerto Vallarta in a celebration of LGBTQ+ pride that is unlike any other in the world. The 2024 Pride Parade will begin at 10:00 am. The parade will start right at the entrance of Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Center. The Pride Parade will be through Downtown Puerto Vallarta and El Malecon to the Romantic Zone. This fun celebration of pride, love and equality is not to be missed!
The most vibrant, diverse and inclusive sports race in Puerto Vallarta. Run, jog or walk in 3K and 6K distances. Start at the beginning of Puerto Vallarta's El Malecon. The 2024 Rainbow Race will be open in 3 categories: female, male and non-binary. There will be prizes for the top 3 finishers in each of these categories. Join the fun and be a part of this vibrant sports experience!
In the heart of the Romantic Zone, the emblematic Lazaro Cardenas Park will host Puerto Vallarta's Pride Sun Festival for 3 consecutive days. The festival features the best local entertainment celebrating LGBTQ+ pride, including a main stage, live music and performances, food area and more surprises!

Vallarta Pride 2024 is the most exciting, diverse, and inclusive pride celebration in Mexico. With special events, beach parties, lectures, sexuality workshops and art exhibitions, Puerto Vallarta proudly wears the colors of diversity, inclusion and equality for an entire week, May 22-26.
To affirm its commitment as a diverse, friendly and inclusive celebration of LGBTQ+ pride in Puerto Vallarta, Vallarta Pride 2024 events will incorporate Mexican Sign Language interpreters in collaboration with the local NGO Cultura Sorda (Deaf Culture.)
This way, Vallarta Pride 2024 events will be accessible to all LGBTQ+ people and their allies.
