The First edition of Down Puerto Vallarta brought together locals and tourists alike downtown Puerto Vallarta, last April 29 and 30, for the most spectacular Urban Downhill race. Over 25,000 spectators lived exciting moments full of adrenaline on the sidewalks and balconies of Downtown.
Aldama Street became a spectacular setting for the sport; 38 of the most seasoned riders proved their international fame by descending on their bikes with great technique down the 880 m track, from the Cerro de la Cruz lookout to the Malecon.

There were two categories in the competition: Speed and Style and Best Trick.
The winners of the Speed and Style category were decided by mere hundredths of a second. Tomas Slavik from Czechoslovakia took 1st place with 1:27.77 . Very close behind, Remy Metailler from France stopped the clock at 1:27.81 and third place, Bernardo Cruz from Brazil, registered 1:27.93.
Best Trick was the cherry on the cake. Antoine Bizet, from France, won best trick. The three mega ramp section filled the competition with excitement and adrenaline.
2017 Down Puerto Vallarta surpassed all expectations of both organizers and audience. This definitely was an unforgettable event!
