Days of you sun and beach during your vacation in Puerto Vallarta are a must, that's why today we recommend you a sort of a different beach day. The beaches of southern Puerto Vallarta are characterized by their paradisiacal landscapes and crystal clear waters, some of them only accessible by sea.
One of these beaches is Las Animas, one of the most famous of the Banderas Bay. The best way to get to Las Animas beach is through a water taxi or boat, which you can take from Los Muertos Pier in the Romantic Zone, or from Boca de Tomatlan, a town south of the city that you can reach in a car or public transport. Both points have water taxi service to Las Animas, which depart approximately every hour from the pier. For lovers of adventure and hiking, it is also possible to walk, following a trail from Boca de Tomatlán to Las Animas.
The boat trip from Los Muertos Pier lasts less than an hour and from Boca de Tomatlán is approximately 25 minutes, during the trip, you’ll see other beautiful beaches like Colomitos and Playa Caballo, and admire the mountains that surround the bay. Once at Las Animas, you will find several restaurants on the beach; choose the one you like the most, grab a table in front of the beach and get ready to enjoy a relaxing day.
Las Animas offers several activities to complement your day like rides in "The Banana" and parachute, explore the surrounding beaches as Playa Caballo and paddle board.
We assure you that you will have a day full of fun and relaxation in one of the most paradisiacal beaches of the bay, so for your next visit to Puerto Vallarta consider a day at the beach of Las Animas.
