International pop star Zendaya visited Puerto Vallarta during Labor Day weekend, with her family and friends as part of a modeling job with Los Angeles magazine Modeliste which selected Puerto Vallarta and its many beautiful sites as the backdrop for an important photoshoot.
The Disney actress, who is working with Timbaland on her upcoming album and has recently finished her turn as the face of Madonna’ Material Girl clothing line, stayed at Villa Premiere’s Spa Suite and enjoyed pool-side evenings, dinners at La Leche and Vista Grill and walks around the Malecon and el Rio Cuale market. She also visited Puerto Vallarta’s Orchestra School which is attended by the children of some of destination’s tourist industry employees.
Although Zendaya’s visit to Puerto Vallarta was not meant to draw much attention but her millions of social media followers quickly figured out her whereabouts and she was met by hundreds of teens shouting her name at every location she visited. As a result, her visit to the city quickly generated more than 17 million impressions of #PuertoVallarta during her short stay.
Zendaya’s vist to Puerto Vallarta, a project coordinated by LATITUDE, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board’s agency for the US and Canadian market, will be featured in the pages and website of Modeliste Magazine this October. The magazine’s editors also traveled to Puerto Vallarta and experienced the many attractions the city has to offer, including Vallarta Adventure’s Rhythms of the Night, a day in Bay of Banderas with Mike’s Fishing, Puerto Vallarta’s ArtWalk, dining at Maia Restaurant, Tequila Tasting at the Marriott and enjoyed a bit of down time and pampering at the Ohtli Spa.
