A charming and intimate beach, well known for its crystal clear emerald waters and very gentle waves, making it ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling. Colomitos is also a preferred choice for those looking for a secluded place to sunbathe, swim and then relax to the sounds of nature.
Lush tropical vegetation and steep cliffs surround this small cove, which is enclosed at the mouth of a branch of the Los Horcones River.
Colomitos is just a 5 minute panga ride from Boca de Tomatlán. Several all-inclusive day tours depart daily from the Puerto Vallarta Cruise Port, usually stopping at Colomitos Beach on their way to the other beaches south of the bay.
There is also a moderately strenuous hike from Boca de Tomatlán to Colomitos. It takes about 40 minutes at a leisurely pace.
