Playa Caballo is a peaceful oasis of fine, golden sand that is perfect for relaxation and contemplation of the lush tropical vegetation that surrounds you.
The swell is usually moderate, so we recommend staying on the beach. While you work on your tan, the characteristic palm grove overlooking the sea will provide you with some cool shade.
Keep in mind that Playa Caballo is a mostly private, secluded beach. So close your eyes, take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Repeat as many times as you need and let the soothing sounds of the surrounding environment lull you to a state of calm.
To get there, we recommend taking a panga or water taxi from Boca de Tomatlán directly to the dock at Las Animas beach. Once there, you can take a horseback ride or simply walk along the not-so-hidden trail to Hotelito Mío. Playa Caballo is just to the right.
