Celebrate Mexico's Independence Day in Puerto Vallarta

In Puerto Vallarta we welcome the most Mexican month of the year: September. There’s nothing like the Mexican festivities celebrated at the Vallarta style, full of dancing, mariachi music, where the people's joy and enthusiasm spread everywhere.

Celebrate with us these Fiestas Patrias with colorful events such as the Rebozo Dance, or the Charro National Day parade. The music brings joy to parks and squares, while locals and tourists gather together at popular places to celebrate the Independence Day singing and dancing.

September is the time of the year when it is possible to experience the path of Mexican flavors at its maximum. Wherever you may go you’ll find exquisite dishes such as juicy beefs, the traditional pozole or snacks that will delight all palates. Smells will leave you spellbound, and you’ll want to try everything available, from seafood and typical dishes to snacks and refreshing beverages.

Being Mexican is living surrounded by millenary traditions and celebrating festivities at its maximum. It's feeling proud of our roots and getting excited while remembering our history. It’s having the guts while being talented and passionate, and feeling honored to be part of the Mexican culture.

Puerto Vallarta dresses itself in green, white and red colors to let you enjoy Mexican nights, where you’ll find lots of bars to drink tequila shots, nightclubs with the best atmosphere, and excellent restaurants of all type of cuisine. But the celebration goes on till dawn, where you can rest together with your family at the beach and keep on enjoying the events at dusk later on.

The traditional ceremony of Grito de Independencia is, without any doubt, an unforgettable event, where the Main Plaza is filled with life and fireworks.

Experience these National Holidays with us and bring back home incredible memories. You’re the only one missing!
