Travel itinerary for a weekend getaway: fall in love with Puerto Vallarta in just 2 days

Need a quick and refreshing getaway? 

Leave your worries behind and give yourself a weekend treat exploring everything that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. We invite you to fall in love with Puerto Vallarta in just two days! The trip starts as soon as you get your flight tickets, and here are some travel tips for you to make the most of your weekend:

  1. Get your things ready, remember that travelling light is the best option for a successful and quick getaway. Make sure to check the weather forecast, to bring just what you’ll need. 
  1. Schedule to arrive on a Friday morning or Thursday night, so you enjoy your escape to paradise to the max. 
  1. Make sure to pick a strategic hotel location, so you can be close to everything you’ll need.
  1. If you are one of those who like to drive, make your car rental reservation in advance, so your car is ready as soon as you arrive. 


Once you’ve reached your destination, and have checked into your hotel here’s a travel itinerary to really enjoy Puerto Vallarta in just two days. Ready for adventure? Let’s go!

 

DAY 1

10:00 a.m. – Sunbathe by the beach. It’s time to leave that white color behind and get a perfect tan.

2:00 p.m. – Delight your palate in the Second Gastronomic Capital of Mexico, the options are endless! Take a look into our directory

4:30 p.m. – Visit the Botanical Garden, ranked as one of the 10 Best Botanical Gardens in North America. 

7:00 p.m. – Wander downtown, visit the vibrant Los Muertos Pier and make a final stop to dine in any of the wonderful restaurants found in the Romantic Zone

Day one in Puerto Vallarta

 

DAY 2

8:00 a.m. – Book an adventure tour. The options found in Puerto Vallarta range from flying on ziplines at specialized parks, skydiving, flyboarding – so trendy these days – to horseback riding along the Sierra Madre mountains.

3:00 p.m. – Savor more of the local gastronomy by visiting the Versalles Route. Cannot be missed! 

6:00 p.m. – Stroll through the Malecon to learn more about the culture and lifestyle in Puerto Vallarta. Make sure to try the traditional drinks: tuba and tejuino, or enjoy and ice cream whilst you watch the brave act of the Papantla Flyers. 

7:30 p.m. – Sit on the terrace of one of the many restaurants and bars and make a toast for this trip, while you admire the magical sunset and you enjoy a wonderful dinner to end your trip.
