Puerto Vallarta continues to illuminate the international tourism scene with its own unique light. Just in the first half of 2024, Puerto Vallarta has accumulated important nominations and recognitions from specialized media and prestigious travel and tourism platforms, thanks to the exceptional work done by the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board in promoting the destination.
Below is a list of 2024 Puerto Vallarta's nominations and awards and why it remains one of the preferred options for travelers around the world.
Thierry Blouet's legendary Café des Artistes was named Best Consolidated Restaurant in Mexico in the eighth annual Food and Travel Reader Awards gala, celebrated in Mexico City on February, 2024.
With more than 30 years of experience in the national culinary scene, Café des Artistes is an authentic reference of the vibrant Puerto Vallarta's culinary scene and is characterized by its refined atmosphere of exclusivity, elegance and comfort.
Behind each dish is the passion and creativity of Chef Thierry Blouet, who has created a menu inspired by the flavors of Mexico, with a large dose of creativity and innovation.
The Food and Travel Reader Awards honor Mexico's favorite food and travel brands, places and people in 28 categories, including chefs, restaurants, bars, gourmet spaces, destinations, hotels, airlines, spas, wellness experiences, cruises and travel agents. The nominations are made by the editorial board of the Mexico edition of the prestigious Food and Travel magazine, along with a group of 62 hospitality professionals who are recognized authorities in their fields.
With its inclusion in the 2024 Guía México Gastronómico Guide, Thierry Blouet's Café des Artistes consolidates its undisputed position as one of the top restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. This publication by the specialized portal Culinaria Mexicana highlights the 250 best restaurants in Mexico.
Puerto Vallarta has been nominated by the prestigious Travel + Leisure magazine in the 2024 World's Best Awards in the "Cities" category.
Travel + Leisure's World's Best is an annual awards program that honors international travel professionals who choose their favorite hotels, destinations and cruise lines.

In the sixth annual edition of Lo Mejor de México Awards (The Best of Mexico 2024), Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica Festival has been nominated in the category of "Best Contemporary Culinary Event or Festival."
This important award is an initiative of Mexico Desconocido, a specialized tourism media. Each year it recognizes the most outstanding destinations, experiences and events in the country.
Through an open and online voting process, Mexico Desconocido invites its wide community of travelers to select the nominees. Previously, based on the number of searches made on México Desconocido websites in 2023, a committee of experts selected the nominees.
